If Junior Project Developer Wind Energy you work in the Development Wind Flanders team, where together we identify, contract & prepare and submit the perfect locations for wind projects.

Here, you will be supervised by an experienced colleague where you will initially carry out partial assignments.

 

In time, you will combine more and more tasks, build up responsibility and ultimately manage a project independently.

Together with the team, you will work on the development of wind farms in Flanders from the moment the choice of location has been determined until the wind turbines can be built.

  • You support your fellow Senior Project Developer Wind Energy and you independently carry out your assigned sub-projects. You will be actively involved in the preparations, investigations and meetings that are essential for compiling the environmental permit application;
  • You then actively contribute to the successful submission of the permit applications and closely monitor the environmental permit procedure together with the Senior Project Developer;
  • You develop and strengthen your communication skills with government agencies, engineering offices and other key stakeholders. Over time, you will independently ensure an open dialogue and strive for consensus on administrative and environmental issues;
  • You manage your subtasks and, in the later phase, your entire projects in a structured and insightful way, ensuring clear and accurate monitoring;
  • You report to the Teamleader Development Onshore Wind
  • You have a Master and/or Bachelor's degree;
  • Affinity with renewable energy, more specifically with wind energy, is an absolute added value;
  • Knowledge of the environmental permit decree & Vlarem is an asset;
  • You are a driven, result-oriented person with an eye for the timing, budget and quality of the project;
  • You are an enthusiastic and communicative person, with an open attitude and a talent for diplomacy. Your commitment and motivation are unparalleled;
  • You have a highly developed sense of independence and entrepreneurship, but you also know exactly when it is necessary to share challenges and problems in a timely manner.
  • You are a convincing team player with a strong dose of independence & entrepreneurship.

What exactly does Storm do?

Storm is a Belgian developer and operator of renewable energy projects and has been since 2008. Together with our team of 90 colleagues, we fast-track the energy transition at the lowest possible cost to society.

In 2012, we inaugurated our first wind farm in Wachtebeke and ever since, we have also honed in on energy storage, sustainable mobility and more. We work as responsibly as possible. This includes open and proactive communication about our projects with all stakeholders. Local residents and municipal authorities have the opportunity to participate in our projects and benefit from the profits.
