As Project Developer Wind Energy you work in the Development Wind Flanders team, where together we identify, contract & prepare and submit the perfect locations for wind projects.
You are ultimately responsible for the projects assigned to you.
You are responsible for the development of wind farms in Flanders from the moment the location choice has been determined until the wind turbines can be built.
You supervise the preparation of the necessary studies and documents with a view to obtaining the environmental permit.
In doing so, you maintain all contacts with the stakeholders involved and can count on cooperation with various engineering offices and the technical know-how of the team you are part of.

- You are responsible for the preparation, studies and consultation linked to the layout of the environmental permit application for the projects assigned to you;
- You are then responsible for effectively applying for and following up the environmental permit procedure;
- You effortlessly maintain thorough contacts and start negotiations with governments and all other possible stakeholders. You ensure an open dialogue and work towards a consensus on administrative and environmental issues;
- You are able to monitor your projects in a correct and organized manner. You keep in touch with the various engineering offices and your own development team for the acquisition of environmental permits;
- Throughout the entire development process, you are proactive and solution-oriented;
- With an analytical and critical eye, you maintain a helicopter view of your project;
- You are able to correctly assess challenges and priorities and to coordinate actions accordingly;
- You report to the Teamleader Development Wind.
- You have a Master and/or Bachelor's degree;
- You have at least 5 years of experience in project development or project management;
- Affinity with renewable energy, more specifically with wind energy, is an absolute added value;
- Knowledge of the environmental permit decree & Vlarem is an asset;
- You are a driven, result-oriented person with an eye for the timing, budget and quality of the project;
- You are strong in coordinating and can easily maintain an overview of various substantive aspects and various files;
- You are alert and critical in terms of content. You know when to show patience or when it takes quick action to take advantage of the momentum;
- You have strong presentation and communication skills. In addition, you excel in negotiating and negotiating;
- You are a convincing team player with a strong dose of independence & entrepreneurship.

In 2012, we inaugurated our first wind farm in Wachtebeke and ever since, we have also honed in on energy storage, sustainable mobility and more. We work as responsibly as possible. This includes open and proactive communication about our projects with all stakeholders. Local residents and municipal authorities have the opportunity to participate in our projects and benefit from the profits.
