What we do

Scroll further
As a Belgian developer and exploitant of renewable energy, Storm is committed daily to building a more sustainable world. Aside from developing wind farms, we also work on various renewable energy solutions like battery storage systems and fast-charging stations. With each new project, we help to rev up the energy transition.

Wind farms

Wind energy is clean, sustainable and inexhaustible. Along with solar energy, it is also the cheapest form of electricity currently available on the market.

Since constructing our first wind turbine in 2012, Storm has expanded its capacity to 55 onshore wind turbines. Collectively, they provide enough renewable energy to meet the annual power needs of 140,000 households.

All residents near Storm wind farms have the opportunity to invest through public participation and enjoy the benefits of our sustainable energy projects.

Battery parks

Battery parks are a logical extension of our renewable energy initiatives. They help absorb fluctuations in offer and demand, which substantially benefits the stability and flexibility of the power grid.

Storm is currently developing three new battery parks. The first of which will be operational in 2025. Altogether, the Storm battery parks will offer a total storage capacity of 1600 MWh.

Fast charging stations

Sustainable mobility is also an essential part of the energy transition. It’s the reason why Storm and mobility partner Q8 are working on the rollout of the first network of full-service fast-charging stations in Belgium. The network will consist of more than 200 fast-charging stations that provide 100% renewable energy.
