Through our agrisolar projects, we can combine the production of solar power with agricultural activities, without compromising the fertility of the land. As a result, we get stable energy supplies and a biodiverse landscape. A total win-win bringing us yet another step closer to a climate-neutral society.
What is agrisolar?
Agrisolar is an innovative way of combining solar energy production with agricultural activities. Aside from creating sustainable energy, the soil remains available for specific uses - as grassland, for example, or for growing low crops or promoting biodiversity and soil restoration. By integrating solar energy into agricultural areas, we can generate renewable energy while we support the local agricultural economy and improve soil health and biodiversity in one fell swoop.
A sustainable and efficient solution
Our solar farms provide clean, local and low-cost energy, enrich the landscape and provide additional streams of income for farmers. This is how agrisolar offers a sustainable and efficient solution to the growing demand in affordable energy in Belgium. In collaboration with BASF Antwerp and solar energy expert Solora, we are combining our knowledge, expertise and resources to make the rollout of large-scale solar farms in Belgium a reality in the short term.
