In the role of Construction Project Manager within the Electromobility team together with a dozen colleagues, you are responsible for the realization of ultra-fast charging squares, including associated convenience store and/or fast food restaurants, throughout Belgium.

During the development phase of the project, you will work, with the support of internal and external experts, on the detailed design, obtaining the grid connection, preparing the budget budget and drawing up relevant contracts with various construction partners such as architects, engineering firms, contractors, etc.

You play a essential role in obtaining a positive investment decision, after which you are responsible for the successful course of the work until the completion of the project.

  • You are responsible for coordinating and managing a number of (external) site and project managers who are responsible for the realization of various sites in Belgium (both in Flanders and Wallonia), from construction preparation to completion;
  • After completion, you ensure a smooth transfer of the realized projects to our partners, who are responsible for running the fast charging squares, shops and fast food restaurants;
  • You are responsible for setting budgets and concluding agreements with contractors and other construction partners such as architects and engineering firms. You will be supported by a project team consisting of external and internal experts;
  • Together with the Construction team leader and the Business Unit Manager, you ensure that you obtain a positive investment decision internally;
  • You monitor the safe, timely and qualitative execution of the works by the various contractors, all within the set budget;
  • You provide periodic technical and financial reports on the progress of the projects;
  • You maintain good relationships and consult with all involved partners in a regular and systematic manner.
  • You provide support to the development team in drawing up budgets, developing project designs and carrying out visits to potential new sites;
  • In this position, you report to the Teamleader Construction.

You play a indispensable role in successfully realising these large-scale and sustainable infrastructure projects.

  • You have a Master's degree - ideally technical engineering and/or electrical training or equivalent through experience;
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in project management in the construction sector;
  • You have experience in managing a technical team; l
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch supplemented with a professional knowledge of French (both oral and written). Knowledge of English is a plus.
  • Experience in contract management is an extra asset and thanks to your excellent communication and negotiation skills, you are able to negotiate complex technical contracts clearly;
  • You are flexible, result-oriented and can set priorities.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and are able to work autonomously, in a structured and accurate manner.
