Storm has started building a second wind farm on the ArcelorMittal sites in the Sea Harbour of Ghent.

Construction in Ghent has started!

9/4/18

Storm has started the construction of a second wind farm on the grounds of ArcelorMittal in the Sea Harbour of Ghent. The wind farm will feature two wind turbines with a tip height of 200 meters. The blades of the turbines will be a staggering 70 meters long!

During the first weeks of the construction process, we are working hard to prepare the site for the construction of the foundations and the cabling.

There are currently three active wind farms on the grounds of ArcelorMittal. They have been producing renewable energy since early 2017.

As soon as this wind farm is operational, the five wind turbines will produce enough renewable energy combined for the annual consumption of about 15.000 families!
