Preparatory work on the Zoersel site in full swing.
A few weeks ago, we began construction on the first wind turbines in Zoersel. The wind farm construction site is located north of the E34, adjacent to the Zoersel exit. The wind farm will consist of two wind turbines with a combined power output of 5.2 MW. The park will generate enough green power to meet the electricity needs of 3,000 households. The turbines will have a tower height of 83m, with blades measuring 60m in length. This adds up to a tip height of 143m.
Civil and piling works on the construction site have practically been finalized. The foundations will be laid in the coming weeks. Construction of the turbines is scheduled for autumn. The wind farm is currently planned to enter into service in the spring of 2022.
Circumstances permitting, Storm is planning an open site day in autumn to which all inhabitants of Zoersel will be invited.
