As Teamleader Development Onshore Wind Flanders you lead and coordinate the development of onshore wind energy projects in Flanders. This includes managing a multi-disciplinary team of 12 colleagues, managing the entire project development process, and ensuring effective collaboration between everyone involved to achieve our strategic goals.

- Team leadership: You coach, instruct, and motivate the team in carrying out their tasks. You guide team members on a daily basis and support their personal growth. As an accessible point of contact, you ensure efficient information exchange and communication within your own team as well as across teams.
- Project development and management: You are ultimately responsible for the successful development of onshore wind energy projects in Flanders, from concept to financial close. This includes site exploration, feasibility studies, and obtaining the necessary land rights and permits. You also promote innovative and sustainable methods to minimize the impact of projects on people and the environment.
- Strategic planning: You contribute to Storm’s long-term strategy by identifying new market and growth opportunities and translating them into a strategic plan to strengthen the company’s position in the wind energy sector. You do this in close collaboration with the Business Unit Director Onshore Wind.
- Stakeholder management: You build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local and supra-local government agencies, advisors, associations, landowners, external project partners, engineering firms, and investors to secure support and approval for projects.
- Budgeting & quality control: You monitor team objectives by tracking project timelines and budgets, making adjustments where necessary. Together with your team, you strive to deliver high-quality projects.
- In this role, you report to the Business Unit Director Onshore Wind.
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree.
You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role or as a senior project manager/developer with leadership experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector. - You have a solid understanding of environmental law and in-depth knowledge of the regulations applicable to renewable energy projects.
- As a driven and results-oriented people manager, you keep a close eye on project timing, budget, and quality. You excel at coordination and can easily maintain an overview of various substantive aspects and ongoing files. You are alert and analytically strong.
- Your presentation and communication skills are persuasive, and you are an exceptional negotiator. You exude confidence and a natural, positive energy that inspires those around you.
- A true problem solver, you think proactively with the team and adopt a hands-on approach.
- You have excellent proficiency in Dutch and a strong command of French and English.
- A deep passion for sustainability and the energy and climate transition comes naturally to you.
What exactly does Storm do?
In 2012, we inaugurated our first wind farm in Wachtebeke and ever since, we have also honed in on energy storage, sustainable mobility and more. We work as responsibly as possible.
