On Thursday, May 5, several classes visited Zoersel.

Open day for classes in Zoersel.

5/5/22

On Thursday 5 May we welcomed a number of classes on their visit to the Zoersel site. The pupils of the second and third grades of the VTI in Zandhoven and the pupils of the fifth and sixth grades of the Sint Elisabeth elementary school in Zoersel came to take a look at Wind Farm Zoersel’s two brand new wind turbines.

First, the groups were given a general introduction about wind power and sustainability. This intro was followed by a guided visit to one of our wind turbines. The pupils of the primary school, in particular, had a lot of questions for our colleagues. One of the classes found it unheard of that our wind turbines were identified only by their serial number and promptly decided to give the wind turbines a better name. The wind turbines are henceforth known by their more melodious monikers Edouardo and Freddy.

The enthusiasm and curiosity of these children continue to inspire our Storm colleagues, who love freeing up time for a word of explanation about renewable energy and wind turbines.
