Storm celebrates its members at the very first Co-op Day
Storm’s first Storm Co-op Day, held at the Retie wind farm on October 6, was a high-flying success, attracting over 200 enthusiastic visitors. On this bright autumn Sunday, we welcomed our co-op members and their families to celebrate and to take an inside look into the world of renewable energy together. It turned out to be a cosy day full of fascinating insights, relaxing entertainment and positive energy all around.
Outstanding insights
All visitors got the unique opportunity to take a closer look inside one of the wind turbines at the Storm wind farm in Retie. Our wind expert provided an in-depth explanation on the nuts and bolts of how the turbine operates. Other team members were on hand with info panels to answer questions and shine more light on renewable energy for our interested guests.
Our co-op members appreciated interacting directly with the Storm team and swapped positive experiences about their own participation and sustainable investments in a climate-neutral society. There was fun to be had for all ages: from delicious Storm waffles-on-a-stick to workshops for building mini wooden wind turbines topped with solar panels. A live band set the mood with good music and the young ones had a blast on the Storm bouncy castle. We’re already looking forward to the next edition!
The Storm co-op members are a group of residents living near Storm wind farms who, through public participation, invest in our Storm CV co-operative society. This means they not only benefit from the returns on our sustainable energy projects but also contribute to revving up the energy transition.
