The Storm wind farm in Port Ghent is ready to test run the three wind turbines.

The Port of Ghent Wind Farm is ready for a test run.

7/12/16

The three wind turbines of the Port of Ghent Wind Farm, located at the ArcelorMittal site, have been completed. A lot of work still has to be done at the site in the coming weeks.

Once the blades are moving, the wind farm still has to successfully complete a test run of 240 hours. This operation needs to happen before the wind farm can be officially considered operational.

Obviously the wind farm already produces green energy during the test run.

Residents living near the wind farm can register for resident participation through Storm CVBA up to December 21.
