Wind farm Ghent Honda officially inaugurated.

29/6/22

The new Storm wind farm on the Honda Motor Europe Logistics site along the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal in Ghent Seaport was officially inaugurated this past Tuesday.

Featuring a single wind turbine with a 200-metre tip height, the wind farm will generate more than 10,000 MWh every year. That’s the equivalent of the annual power consumption of about 3,000 families or almost three quarters of the electricity needs of the Honda site. In doing so, the wind farm will be contributing to the climate targets Honda has set itself.

As of today, the wind turbine is ready for a test spin. During testing, the turbine will be generating plenty of green energy already.
