Local residents welcome at Open Day in Westerlo.

2/2/14

Quite a few residents visited the Open Day of the Storm wind farm in Westerlo last Sunday. For many visitors it was the perfect time to look at the huge parts before they were lifted tens of metres in the air, and to ask Storm employees questions about wind power.

“It's quite impressive to see a wind turbine and its components up close; we want everyone to have that opportunity”, says Storm project leader Filip Léonard. “That is why we organise this Open Site for the residents of Westerlo and anyone else who is interested. One wind turbine is already up and ready to go and parts of the other turbine can be looked at on the ground.”
